Iran children fest to screen Japan animes

A pair of Japanese animes is set to screen at International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran.

Animated features 'Spirited Away' (2001) and 'Howl's Moving Castle' (2004) by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki will be screened in an out-of-competition section of Iran national film event.

Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese filmmaker and animator who has attained international acclaim as one of the big names in feature-length animes.   

The International Film Festival for Children and Youth (IFFCY) aims to discover and develop children’s talent in arts and cinema with a focus on hosting a major animation competition in the Middle East.

The event is slated for August 30 - September 5, 2018 in the historic Iranian city of Isfahan.
